My 2nd Pregnancy So Far

It's been a year since I last made any postings. I've been focusing on my facebook page. Well, I have a lot of updating to do. In the end of summer 2013, I found out that I got pregnant again. I was hoping to be as active as my first pregnancy (dancing samba until I was 7 months pregnant). However, my plans were foiled when I got very sick in October. I had acute bronchitis and it took me a whole month to recover. That doesn't stop this frugal fashionista from being stylish. I had to gear my wardrobe again for some maternity creativity.

5 Months Pregnant December 2013

In early December I had to attend a bar mitzvah and I also attended my goddaughter's baptism earlier in October. I had to wear a dressy semiformal outfit for these daytime family events. It's best to wear a light colored item when most of the colors we wear in the fall and winter tend to be on the dark side. Dark and dark is too old fashioned and boring. The cardigan was a hand me down, the dress was from Forever 21 (which I got from Plato's Closet), The maternity Gap maternity pants were from Goodwill, the necklace was from A. Byer, and my faux suede shoes were from Forever 21.

WHY IT'S MATERNITY FRIENDLY:
The dress is fitted and the right length, and the necklace and cardigan served to elongate the silhouette. The chunky heeled oxfords were warm, comfy, and practical and added height

Here are 2 other outfits with the same cardigan and a fitted non maternity stretchy dress. The dress was from Discovery and the chenille vest was from Forever 21. The long necklace helps to elongate the look.

These were some casual Christmassy looks:

The gray and white graphic cardigan and silver disc necklace were from Burlington Coat Factory. The red tank top was from Discovery. I used my belly band to elongate the top. The black and white holiday print sweater was from Plato's Closet. I added the ornate gold and pearl necklace to add to the holiday theme. I wore these outfits for Christmas parties I attended.
